The Canada Express Entry program is a system that the Canadian government uses to manage applications for permanent residency from skilled workers. It allows skilled workers who are interested in immigrating to Canada to create an online profile, which is then entered into a pool of candidates.
Each candidate in the pool is assigned a Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score based on factors such as their age, education, work experience, language skills, and other characteristics. The highest-ranking candidates are then invited to apply for permanent residency through regular “draws” from the pool.
To be eligible for the Express Entry program, foreign workers must have certain work experience and language skills, and must meet other criteria such as having a job offer or a certificate of qualification in a skilled trade. The program is designed to be fast and efficient, with many applications being processed in six months or less.
